CJHS 598 - Tutorial

3 Credit(s)

Prerequisites: CJHS 591  and completion of at least 21 in the CJHS program.
The Tutorial is offered at the completion of the internship for students in the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Human Security program. As part of the Tutorial, students write, reflect and present on their internship experience and its relationship with the theoretical underpinnings of their program of study. The student in this class is also invited to reflect on herself/himself and identify interests, aspirations, personal strengths, and areas needing more work. This requires an assessment of one’s skillset or toolbox for navigating life’s challenges. Students will assemble a portfolio of all of the significant work that they have completed during the Master’s program and reflect on that work as they prepare for the next career steps. The tutorial also serves as the venue for the program’s comprehensive exam that includes both an oral and a written component.
