ELEG 503 - Electronic Cooling

This course introduces students to the field of thermal management of electronics and the opportunities of thermal engineers in the electronics industry. The course provides in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of heat transfer in electronic devices and systems. Heat transfer theory and discussions of engineering practices will be applied to the thermal design and analysis of electronic systems. Numerical simulation and commercial CFD package will be introduced for thermal analysis and “real world” case studies will be used for class discussions and student presentations.
