This course introduces students to the study of film, television, and digital media, providing them with the critical tools necessary to understanding how these popular cultural visual media combine sound, image, and text to communicate meaning, address and entertain audiences, and express cultural values. The course introduces foundational concepts in cinematic language and televisual production, while providing a survey of various digital media platforms and content. Students will learn to analyze and experiment with creating works in film, television, and digital media.
