NUTR 560B - Biochemistry of Nutrition

Prerequisites: NUTR 560U, 4 of Introduction to Biochemistry, or 8 of General and Organic Chemistry.
This course addresses the basic chemical and biological principles of living systems, with a focus on the relationship of structure to function, bioenergetics, enzyme kinetics and metabolism. Structures of interest will be amino acids/proteins, nucleic acids/DNA/RNA, lipids and carbohydrates.
