This course assists students in developing competencies in unit planning, instructional strategies, and the utilization of diverse materials and technology for teaching the social studies. Students design courses of study that integrate state and national standards; contemporary thinking about the teaching of social studies is stressed. EDUC 442J concentrates upon appropriate content, planning, and practices for 7-12 classrooms.
