The NCLB Act places emphasis on using instructional practices that have provided evidence of their effectiveness through rigorous scientific research. This course provides pre-service teachers with the information they need to determine what is meant by evidence, the types of evidence that can be used to support educational change, and the issues that need to be addressed when educators adopt evidence-based practices in their classrooms.
