HONR 329 - Outdoor Recreation & Leadership

Corequisite: Co-enrollment in HONR 329BCT is required.
A comprehensive introduction to outdoor activities including, but not limited to hiking, camping, paddling, cooking outdoors, & survival skills. Learn how to manage risks & safety outdoors, develop outdoor leadership skills, & learn to adventure outdoors while leaving no trace. In addition to the standard requirements of the course, Honors students will design & deliver a comprehensive program evaluation and plan for recreation programs, to include the student’s choice of a summer camp, national park, or community park and recreation program as well as an inclusive recreation activity. Course fee required.
