FIN 570 - Managerial Economics 3 Credit(s)
Prerequisites: ECON 400 , MGMT 400 , FIN 400 and completion of all core courses or concurrent registration in final core courses. This course may be taken as an elective with required Finance and Management concentration courses. Managerial economics deals with the application of economic theories to real-world business decisions. A course in managerial economics provides students with the fundamental analytical tools that can and should be used in marketing, finance, production, and strategic management. Managerial economic techniques seek to achieve the objectives of the business organization in the most efficient manner, while considering both explicit and implicit constraints on achieving the objectives. Some basic quantitative skills such as statistics and calculus are required.
