Prerequisites: BIOL 113 or BIOL 213 and BIOL 114 or BIOL 214 Must be completed prior to taking this course.
Functional human anatomy focusing on skeletal muscle origin, insertion, action, and the principles of human movement is the focus of this course. In addition, the student will develop an understanding of human movement from a functional & clinical perspective, including the pathology of movement as deviation from the norm. The course is designed for exercise & fitness & pre-physical & pre-occupational therapy students, focusing on the functional & clinical application of kinesiology to support development in children, rehabilitation in adults, and healthy lifestyles throughout the lifespan Offered: Fall Only, Every Year
