Prerequisites: HSCI 230 or NUTR 205 , BIOL 113 , CHEM 113 , CHEM 114 This course presents a study of the use of herbs in nutritional practice. Lectures will in-clude the plant sources, mechanism of action, pharmacological/toxicological properties, and clinical applications of individual medicinal herbs commonly used for the promotion of health.
