The University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Institute is committed to the development of highly qualified PAs through a rigorous and comprehensive education. The UB PA Institute focuses on a patient-centered approach with coursework dedicated to the care of diverse patient populations. The PAI underscores the importance of integrative medicine, global health, and preventive care.
Mission
The mission of the University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Institute is to prepare future PAs with the knowledge and skills to provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care and foster life-long learning and professionalism, emphasizing commitments to diversity, global perspective, and integrative approach benefiting all patients. This mission is reflected in our motto: Adiuvare, Mederi, Communiter; TO HELP, TO HEAL, TOGETHER.
Accreditation
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Program sponsored by University of Bridgeport. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be September 2033. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
