BMEG 564 - Molecular Dynamics Lab

3 credit(s)

This lab aims to enable the student to understand and predict the properties of biomolecular systems in biomaterials engineering, biomedical engineering, and biotechnology. The lab is geared toward students interested in molecular modeling and MD simulation, with or without prior experience in the area. The lab covers the fundamental molecular modeling tools and provides simulation methods for problems of interest. The lab goal of the MD lab typically involves introducing students to principles and techniques of molecular dynamics simulations and engaging them in hands-on projects. At the end of this lab, students should have hands-on experience, understand current state-of-the-art computational biological methods, and be able to design, run, and analyze simulations for systems of interest.
Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
