BIOL 326 - Climate Change and Biodiversity

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 101 and BIOL 223 or permission of instructor
This course includes a review of the recent literature on the impacts of climate change on local and global ecology and other factors that impact on biodiversity and will emphasize factors promoting ecosystem resilience and conservation efforts. The course will also cover different types of biodiversity, how biodiversity is measured, global patterns of biodiversity, the processes that give rise to and maintain biodiversity, as well as realized and potential consequences of climate change on diversity patterns.
