BIOL 403A - Advanced Histology I


This is one of the pair of courses on advanced histology. The course will cover in detail the microscopic structure of animal cells and tissues. A major emphasis will be placed on the four major types of tissues and the framework for understanding how the tissue organization contributes to the development of organ and organ systems. It will cover the methods and techniques required for the preparation and microscopic examination and interpretation of stained cells and tissue sections. This course fulfills the Molecular (M) category for Biology graduate students.
