BMEG 574 - Gen Pathology for Bioengineer

This lecture-based course provides students with a broad review and understanding of medical knowledge and human disease. Students will learn to appreciate the mechanisms and mamifestations of inflammation, cellular response, and abnormal tissue growth as they relate to disease formation. The combination of lectures, handout materials, group sessions, and optional texts should provide each student with a foundation in pathology in anticipation of their pursuit of bioengineering careers that translate advances across the molecular, cellular, and organ scales into new developments for improved diagnosis, disease, monitoring, and disease treatment.
