BIOL 479 - Bioinformatics

Prerequisite(s): MATH 423B and BIOL 345 or equivalent.
Students will design and develop algorithms for biological problems such as data mining, and analysis of nucleic acid, protein, and genomic datasets. Students will work with popular bioinformatics algorithms to understand design methodology and identify the potential weaknesses in traditional bioinformatics algorithms.
