HONR 202 - Perspectives on Happiness 3 Credit(s)
This is a program course for the Honors Program/Honors Track. The program is envisaged as inculcating an academic culture of Excellence and High Expectations, The Course will be team taught by two professors. The course will use insights drawn from Psychology, religious studies, and philosophy to explore eudaemonia or happiness as it is an issue for a variety of religious and cultural perspectives. In terms of religions, philosophies of life and findings in psychology, how has the good life been conceptualized? In these perspectives, what leads to enduring happiness? The course will be reading and writing intensive. Students will be encouraged to further formulate their own points of view.
