CJHS 330 - Court Systems and Practices 3 Credit(s)
Prerequisites: CJHS 118 This course will provide a broad overview and introduction to the structure, procedures, and practices of courts in the United States. We will examine and critically evaluate various topics related to criminal courts, including court actors, pretrial procedures, the trial, the jury, sentencing, the appellate process, and specialized courts. Other topics include the history of the courts, court organization and structure, and the civil court system. Offered: Spring/Fall/Summer
