Prerequisites: CJHS 118 and CJHS 265
The purpose of the course is to examine the history, Classification, conditions, effectiveness, and social issues encompassing punishments through community corrections.The course will also analyze and evaluate the American correctional systems shift to reentry skills as demonstrated in the institution and in the community. This class will build on the Introduction to Corrections class by taking a more in depth look at how corrections functions in the community rather than in an institution.
