COUN 595 - Addictions and Treatment

Prerequisites: include COUN; COUN 505, COUN 512 and COUN 540.
This course is designed to provide a practical experience for counselors learning to work with alcohol and other drug abusers and other addictions. Covered in the course will be a survey of the various psychoactive drugs and behavioral addictions along with diagnosis and treatment modalities in working with persons with addictions, and those affected by persons with addictions.
