HSCI 341 - Strength & Conditioning 3 Credit(s)
Prerequisites: BIOL 113 , BIOL 114 , HSCI 321 Must be completed prior or at the same time as this course. This course examines the advanced methods and techniques associated with the design of strength and conditioning programs to enhance human performance in sport and fitness, as well as their direct application to athletic competition and performance. Students will study information on the organization and administration of facilities, testing and evaluation, exercise techniques, training adaptations, and program design for common high school, collegiate, and professional sports. The course is designed to enhance the students’ current level of knowledge in preparation for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Offered Spring Only.
