Prerequisites: “C” or better in MATH 281  (Differential Equations) and MATH 215  (Multivariable Calculus) or permission of the instructor
Matrix algebra and the eigenvalue problem. Fourier series, integrals and transforms. Partial differential equations. Sturm-Liouville Systems and orthogonal functions. Bessel, Legendre, Gamma, Dirac-delta and other special functions. Applications to various areas of science and technology.
