A companion laboratory course to BIOL 106, designed to provide the student with the opportunity to apply principles learned in lecture. The laboratory consists of the isolation and identification of common pathogenic and nonpathogenic organisms utilizing techniques of staining, culturing, fermentation reactions, and microscopic inspection.
