BIOL 113L - Intro Anatomy and Phys I Lab 1 credit(s)
Corequisite(s): BIOL 113 This 1 credit lab is the first of two semesters of introductory courses designed to provide students with introductory functional understanding of human anatomy and physiology. The course integrates the study of structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) to develop a comprehensive and practical knowledge of the human body. Emphasis is placed on the interrelationship between body systems and how they work together to maintain health and homeostasis. The topics covered include basic biology principles, histology, integumentary, and the following organ systems: skeletal, muscle and nervous. Students will engage in non-dissection, hands-on learning experiences using anatomical models, imaging resources, and interactive activities to reinforce lecture content and develop a spatial understanding of human anatomy. The course is structured to enhance visual recognition, anatomical terminology, and systems integration through guided lab exercises, group discussions, and applied learning modules. This course is recommended to be taken concurrently with BIOL-113 lecture but can be taken independently. Laboratory fees are assessed
