NURS 303 - Community Health

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply the nursing process to the community as the health client. Students will apply principles of community assessment and health promotion to investigate a community/ population health status. The health needs of populations at risk within the community are identified and plans are formulated to meet those needs. Requires health clearance, background check, and drug testing per clinical site guidelines. NURS 303 requires students to select a community site for NURS 303 Community Health and NURS 310 - Population and Global Health, and complete a learning experience during the course to expand their professional practice into the community
