BIOL 303B - Histology II 4 Credit(s)
This is the second part of Histology and includes 3 credit lecture and 1 credit lab, designed for the student interested to further broadening her/his knowledge in the microscopic examination of cells and tissues. Furthermore, this course will prepare those students interested to be certified in the field of histological examination. The course will cover in detail the microscopic structure of animal cells and tissues. A major emphasis will be given on the four major types of tissues and the frame work for understanding how the tissue organization contributes to the development of organ and organ systems. Laboratory work will cover the methods and techniques required for the preparation and microscopic examination and interpretation of stained cells and tissue sections.
