ENGL 298 - Writing for the Sciences

Prerequisites: ENGL 101   - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
Writing for the Sciences stresses the relationship between clear, simple prose and thoughtful social analysis. This course aims to solidify analytical thinking and writing skills related to a variety of disciplines in the social sciences and related disciplines with a strong focus on Psychology. In the class, students will learn how to examine and discuss social scientific literature and learn advanced aspects of synthesis, argumentative methods, and style development through the effective use of writing techniques such as sentence structure, paragraph construction, and organizational methods.
