ENGL 213 - Contemporary Drama 3 Credit(s)
Corequisite: ENGL 101 Dramatic works by British and American authors as well as works in translation primarily since World War II. Emphasis will be upon how to read a play, the difference between technical appeal and meaning, and similar fundamentals for reading drama for maximum understanding. The work of playwrights such as Williams, Albee, Pinter, Behan, Ionesco, Handke, Beckett and Shepard will typically be included.
